DropVox is my "go to" recording app. The interface is uncluttered, and all the settings make intuitive and functional sense. Uploading to Dropbox is automatic by default. The app features excellent VoiceOver support. The developer responds quickly to user questions.
Really Apple-like: it does what its supposed to do, and does it well. This app is easy to use, has a a clean appearance, and has the features I need without bells and whistles. Its the easiest way by far to vocally jot down a note. And a great plus is that you have the recordings on you computer Dropbox when you need it. I set mine to record on launch, and stop recording when I leave the app. That means I basically dont even have to interact with the app. Its just there for me. The coolest thing is that I can tell Siri to launch this app and then once its launched it starts recoding automatically. Even cooler is that when my iPhone is docked, I just say hey Siri, then "launch DropVox" and then I just start talking and it records what I say.
Great little app! It does one thing, and it does it well. I use it all the time to record meetings, notes, journal entries, or just weird noises I hear going on in nature. And then with no effort at all, they show up in drop box so I can access them wherever I need to.
As a songwriter, this app is essential for capturing ideas on the fly. Its perfect. Its simple. And its probably the most important app I have.
This is a great app. Very easy to use and streamlined. Would recommend it highly. Very reliable. It would be good if there was a button that would allow you to delete a voice memo while you are creating it if you change your mind.
Simple and reliable. I use it to email voice memos. Record and go to Dropbox to get the public link for it. I just email the recording link. I wish it could provision the public link itself and I would not need to launch the Dropbox UI. Still this is the best app out there helping record voice MP3 files.
Ive been using this app for a couple weeks now, and have found it to be stable and robust. Its fairly brain-dead simple, and is the only audio recorder I have found that records to MP3. After using a bunch of other audio-recording apps this is now my go-to app. 2014-12-17 - Update: Ive recorded a lot of things with this app, have been in out of coverage when uploading (both Wi-Fi and mobile) and it never has failed to upload to Dropbox. A most excellent app.
The most difficult part about this app was teaching our caveman to tap the record button. Seriously, records are that easy. One tap to record, and when set to upload automatically the tap to stop recording triggers the upload or stores it until an Internet connection is present. Audio quality is excellent, especially when used with external mics, so we use it for radio broadcasts when on the road.
This app is super easy to use. It has simple options and can be used almost right as soon as you download it. Good interface too.
This app looks pretty promising but until it has watch support its fairly useless for me.
I love DropVox. It’s easy to use, reliable and the recording quality is fabulous — and since it’s on my iPhone, it’s always ready when I am. I love that it automatically uploads to DropBox so I know my recordings are always safe, no matter where I was when I made them. Thank you for this great app!
Use this app all the time. Would be dope if you could use an Apple Watch complication to summon the app and instantly record either on the phone or on the watch. I have another app on the watch that does it but you have to click the complication, then the record button on the screen it opens. Would be great if this did it instantly. Would use it even more than I do now.
Love it. Simple and useful.
As a singer/songwriter, I recommend this app as essential for demo and rehearsal/performance recording. Easy and straight forward to use, with the ability to share ideas in seconds via Dropbox. I use it everyday.
Wether recording a riff, bass line or lyric idea, it just works. Immediately gets uploaded to Dropbox for quick sharing. Worry about naming the file later. One touch recording of college lectures is a plus! Voice Over friendly!
Simple and works well. You need this if you use Dropbox.
We love Dropbox and Dropvox with our business account. Dropvox would be so handy to use with our Apple Watch if it had a complication. Thanks!
