RecUp - Record to the Cloud App Reviews

Very simple and effective but misses

The opportunity - to make pauses - to cancel memo - and eventually to : rewind, play, stop then rerecord the final part, repeatedly.

Simply great!

As a musician working in a band, I always wanted to share my recordings or rehearsals with others. It seems this app has been made for me and I recommend it too all musicians. Also, thanks for the voice over compatibility

Dont buy yet.

Dont work well on ios6 + iphone 4.

Macht was es soll

Läuft bei mir unter iOS 4.3 ohne Probleme!

too much Dropbox permissions

could you please change the Dropbox permissions to only apps + your folder? thx!

Excellent recorder now universal

I tried many recorder for (mostly brief) audionotes, and DropVox was the best of all: easy to use, minimum number of clicks, and very reliable. V2 looks nicer and is universal. Highly recommended

Nice and straightforward app

Works great!

Very good!

Well done, easiest to use! Using it for several years now, next to another app "with more control". Now, what I need is always at my hands.

Excellent App!!!

Works great... Now how about a companion app for OSX that would allow you to do the same thing from a Mac or MBP?

What Apples Voice Memo app should have been

I was going to make this app myself but someone beat me to it. :-) Works awesome. Went straight to page 1 of my phones homescreen. Use the Mac app Hazel to monitor the DropVox folder and auto move any new files to your desktop where youll see them and remember to listen to them. LOVE this app!

Excellent

Very simple. Also works when no internet connection. It would upload once online.

Works well !

I like this app no issues here does what it says it does!

Does what it claims to do

A decent app with a simplistic interface. It would be nice if they implemented some sort of backup system that allows you to retrieve the files in case they get corrupted during the uploading process. My phone died while one of my recordings was stored in the apps internal memory and it took an hour to send it through once my phone was up and running again. That is not acceptable for recordings containing vital information. Other than that, it works great.

Simple and perfect

Love it, its simple and works well. Would really like a toggle option to allow 3G uploads or disallow 3G uploads and save for future Wifi connection instead.

The best. Wish there were more stars

You wont find a better voice recording app. Dont even bother looking. Its interface may look a little plain Jane, but its simplicity masks a pretty amazing functionality. Unlike other apps that freeze or lose files or clog up storage space or drop out whem texts arrive, Dropvox just works. Record. Stop. Moments later the file magically appears in your Dropbox. Sound quality (for voice anyway) is great, and files are very manageable (17mb for 70 minutes). The only shortcoming is there is no way to play back files without Internet/data access - they must go to Dropbox. In every other way, Dropvox is amazing.

Decent app

It works as it says it does but it isnt the best for recording lectures. It does not let you custom name the files and as a university student who record multiple lectures per day, it can be confusing as to which on is which.

Wi-fi upload...

Greats apps... But when able to upload only on wifi ?

Dont trust for anything important.

Well over an hour (and counting) to upload a 20 minute interview. No option to playback the material on your phone, or to store locally. Youre really dependent on the app not to screw up (which it may be doing right now. Ill let you know if I get fired.)

What happened!

Dont work properly!

Best Reminder App

Ive been using this app for a long time. Its the simplest to use. I use it while driving to do brain dumps of to-do items. Ive written a Automator workflow which moves the recordings to my desktop so I dont forget them. It works wonderfully. I recommend this app to anyone who wants a very easy to use voice recording app.
